Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao described Prof K Jayashankar as an ideologue who toiled hard to spread the philosophy of Telangana during the statehood movement.

Paying rich tribute to Prof K Jayashankar on his death anniversary, KCR termed him intellectual who always dreamed of self-governance in Telangana.

He said the Telangana government is implementing the aspirations of Prof Jayashankar. He said marginalized classes have become self-reliant in Telangana. He said the Telangana government is paying a befitting tribute to Prof Jayashankar by revolutionizing each sector to achieve across-the-board development.

Chief Minister said Gooda Anjaiah's song became a rallying cry and invoked cultural consciousness among the marginalized classes. The CM recalled the services rendered by Gooda Anjaiah for the separate statehood movement through his songs on his death anniversary.

He said Telangana government has fulfilled Gooda Anajaih's dream of all-around development and empowerment of SC, ST, BC, and minorities. He said welfare and development schemes and for marginalized classes are a fitting tribute to Gooda Anjaiah.
