`Enjoy the rains': Monsoon to arrive in Telangana on June 11
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said southwest monsoon, which has arrived in neighboring Rayalaseema, is likely to cover the state by June 11.

"The monsoon rainfall will start in Telangana on June 11," said i, IMD chief, Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana.
"Low-pressure area is developing over the northern Bay of Bengal, shifting towards Odisha and Chhattisgarh leading to an increase in rainfall activity. In the districts of Medak and Nalgonda, the monsoon line is passing. The rain activity will increase in the state. Heavy rain showers will occur between June 12 and June 14. The monsoon will cover Telangana by June 12 along with parts of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh," said Mahesh Palawat, Vice President, Skymet.

According to IMD inference, the Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through Pune, Medak, Nalgonda, Rentachintala, Sriharikota and Bagdogra.
"A Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal & neighborhood around 11th June 2021. Under its Influence, Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance into most parts of Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand, and some parts of Bihar during the subsequent 2 days. An upper air trough runs from Marathwada to North Interior Karnataka extending up to 1.5km above mean sea level. The trough from Southwest Madhya Pradesh & neighborhood to north Tamilnadu across Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema at 3.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked," reads IMD inference.
