Gadwal tragedy: House wall collapses; 5 of family killed, two injured

Hyderabad: Five members of a family including three children were killed, while two others sustained injuries when the wall of their hut collapsed in Kothapally village in Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana on Sunday.
The seven members of the family were asleep when a partition wall of their hut collapsed due to rain. Five people were killed and two others injured.
The deceased have been identified as Mosha (35), his wife Shantamma (30), and their children Charan (9), Teja (7), and Ramu (8). Police shifted injured Sneha (5) and Chinna (3), to the hospital. Doctors treating them said they are stable.
Expressing grief over the tragedy, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sought details of the incident from Minister Niranjan Reddy. He directed to pay an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.
