Telangana state cabinet has given a go-ahead to construct 100-bedded hospitals at Satthupalli and Madhira, and convert the existing hospitals into mother and childcare centers.

Hyderabad: Telangana state cabinet has given a go-ahead to construct 100-bedded hospitals at Satthupalli and Madhira, and convert the existing hospitals into mother and childcare centers.

The cabinet decided to upgrade the 50-bedded mother and childcare center in Suryapet to a 100-bedded hospital. The cabinet also decided to set up boarding centers in all the government hospitals for the attendants.

The cabinet decided to carry out a health profile in Mulugu and Sircilla districts. It has also decided to launch medical diagnostic centers in 19 districts from tomorrow. The centers will have facility for ECG, Digital X Ray, Ultra Sound, 2 D Echo as well as Mammogram for women.

The cabinet has decided to have testing centers in Hyderabad, Warangal, and Siddipet for allergy treatment. The cabinet has decided to increase the dialysis units in the state following a spurt in the cases.

The cabinet has decided to set up Chemotherapy units in the district centers with all the facilities. The cabinet also decided to upgrade all the blood banks and set up new ones if need be. The cabinet has instructed the medical and health department to appoint the required staff to create better facilities for Orthopedic, neurology, and other specialties.

The cabinet has decided to have a super specialty hospital in Warangal jail. The cabinet has decided to appoint candidates who did Masters in Hospital Administration for the hospital administration in the State. The cabinet instructed the medical and health department to introduce Nursing, Midwifery, Lab technician, Radiology, and Dialysis technical courses in the government medical colleges.

The cabinet has decided to strengthen mother and child-related medical services in the State. The cabinet felt that mother and child should be given treatment away from the general patients and they shall be housed separately in special buildings. The cabinet has instructed to construct special blocks in this regard.

The cabinet Maternal ICUs and SNCU for the newborns should be created in these special blocks. The cabinet decided to provide a special nutritious kit to pregnant women from three months. The cabinet instructed the officials to be prepared in the wake of reports that the third COVID wave may hit the state.
