Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted rainfall for Telangana for the next four days.

It said heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Janagaon, and Yadadri Bhuvangiri districts.

The meteorological department also said similar weather is likely to prevail in Mahabubabad, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban), Janagaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts on 2 November.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in a few districts of Telangana during the next four days, IMD said. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in a few places of the state during the next four days, it added.

Meanwhile, heavy rain lashed Nalgonda in the last 24 hours with the highest rainfall of 101.8 mm recorded at Miryalaguda (Nalgonda). According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the state's average cumulative rainfall from 1 June to 1 November 2021 was 1,070.9 mm against the normal 817.3 mm with a deviation of 31%. The GHMC average cumulative rainfall for the same period was 862.1 mm against the normal 677.4 mm with a deviation of 27%.

For Hyderabad, the Met department predicted a cloudy sky with light rain. The temperature will dip in the upcoming days due to rain, it said.

The lowest temperature in the state, 12.6°C, was recorded in Arli in Adilabad district and the highest maximum temperature of 35.2°C was recorded at Paidipally (Warangal). In the GHMC area, the lowest temperature (18.4°C) was recorded in Patancheruvu and the highest (33.0°C) at Musheerabad.

The minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 18 to 21°C while the maximum temperatures will be in the range of 31 to 33°C. In the GHMC area, minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 19 to 21°C and the maximum temperatures between 30 to 32°C.
