Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed Tahsildar of Kataram Mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district for accepting Rs 2 lakh bribe on Thursday.

Medipally Sunitha had demanded the bribe to process the file pertaining to pattadar passbook.

Aitha Harikrishna, resident of Boduppal, however, lodged a complaint with the ACB.

ACB officials laid a trap for Medipally Sunitha. She was caught red-handed accepting the bribe. The bribe amount was recovered from Tahsildar's handbag.

"The accused officer performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain the undue advantage from the complainant," ACB said.

The Tahsildar is being arrested and produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Hyderabad, ACB said.
