Ab Delhi door nahi: KCR to lay foundation stone of TRS office in national capital on Sep 2

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao will lay the foundation stone of the party office in Delhi on September 2.

The decision was taken at the party's state executive meeting held at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday.

Centre had last year allotted land to TRS at Vasant Vihar for construction of the party office.

Union urban affairs ministry handed over the allotment letter for 1,100 square meters of land in Vasant Vihar in New Delhi to TS roads and buildings minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on October 10 last year.

The land consists of two plots measuring 550 square meters each. The land was handed over on November 4, 2020. Earlier it was planned to lay the foundation in December 2020 when Chandrashekar Rao visited Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah.

TRS working president KT Rama Rao said KCR would also inaugurate the party offices being constructed in 32 districts across the state during Dasara festival in October.

Due to Covid-19, TRS could not conduct the party's plenary sessions in the last two years. He said it will be now held either in the last week of October or the first week of November after organizational elections.

KTR said that the formation of village committees and the process of forward-level committees shall also begin from September 2. Besides, zonal, municipal, urban and district-level committee formation shall also be completed in the month of September, he added.

Referring to the coming Huzurabad Assembly constituency by-poll, he said the outcome of the by-poll, whenever it is held, is not going to change the political equation either in the State or Centre. Reiterating that Huzurabad has been a TRS stronghold since the party formation, he said the ruling party will retain the seat.
