Jamuna Hatcheries is owned by Rajender's wife. Medak district revenue officials have also served notices on 100 farmers.
Earlier, a high-level official team including half a dozen IAS officials conducted a survey for two days and declared that Eatala's family was in possession of assigned land.
It may be recalled that on April 30, KCR instructed chief secretary Somesh Kumar to inquire into the allegations of land grabbing against then Telangana health minister Eatala Rajender. Eatala was accused of forcibly taking over assigned lands.
The CM also instructed vigilance DGP Purnachandra Rao to find out the truth behind the allegations. Later, KCR deployed a team of IAS officials to survey the land and submit the report. Farmers from two villages in Medak district had accused Eatala Rajender of land grabbing.
Jamuna Hatcheries, however, filed a writ petition in the High Court questioning the survey without serving any notice. Telangana High Court, however, found fault with the manner in which the government hurried the survey. The court wondered how the officials could trespass into someone's land in the name of the survey without any notice and complete survey of 120 acres in a single day. It observed that the government could not initiate any process without issuing notice to another party.
According to Medak District Collector S Harish, officials could not conduct the survey because of the Covid pandemic. He said they have now decided to survey the land by following due procedure.
