Hyderabad: Telangana's health department has issued a list of 48 government hospitals where the vaccination will be free cost.

The soft launch of the vaccination will be rolled out in Telangana for the general public on the 1st of March. The application for registration is live on cowin.gov.in.

Steps to register for COVID-19 vaccine

Go to cowin.gov.in.

Register with Aadhar number and phone number.

The beneficiary will receive an OTP.

Enter the OTP.

Now fill you details like name, age, gender, and address.

The beneficiary will have to choose the vaccination centre.

Select the vaccination centre.

The beneficiary will get a unique ID with the date and time for the vaccination.

Beneficiaries can only register online

The government has said that at the moment beneficiaries only have the option to register online. Later, walk-in registration facilities will be open for the general public, it said. The citizens will also have a choice to reschedule the vaccination date and time.

Also, the health department has said that while people won't have the option to choose the vaccine, they can select the vaccination centre. Different centres may have different vaccines.

Cost of the vaccine

The government said the vaccine will be free in government hospitals while private hospitals will charge Rs. 150 for the vaccine and Rs. 100 as a service fee. "Rs. 100 is the upper ceiling for the service charge. Hospitals can decide how much they want to charge for their service but they can also give a discount," said Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, the director of public health, Telangana.

On Sunday, the government released the list of 45 government COVID-19 vaccination centres and 46 private centres. Around 200 doses of the vaccine will be given at each centre on Monday. The government will increase the doses by up to 1,200 per day as well as the vaccination centres.

Vaccination timing

The vaccination timing is from 9 a.m to 4 p.m in government hospitals. The timing in private hospitals may differ. On Monday, the first day of the vaccination, the vaccination process will start at 10:30 a.m.
