Make modification to Dharani Portal within a week: KCR to officials

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, on 11 January, instructed all officials concerned to solve all issues related to the revenue department immediately. He also instructed them to make all necessary changes and additions to the Dharani Portal within a week.

KCR held a meeting with the ministers and district collectors on Monday at Pragathi Bhavan here. It was attended by government advisors and secretaries and heads of various departments.

The CM said that before the formation of Telangana, the revenue records were in disarray and that often led to clashes and litigations. The state government has made several attempts to put an end to the frequent litigation arising out of improper records, he said, adding that comprehensive purification of land records, issue of new passbooks, the new Revenue Act, and other reforms undertaken by the government have provided clarity about ownership rights.

The CM was satisfied that the Dharani Portal launched to make sale and purchase of land and maintain records in a transparent manner was a success. Instructing officials to make selling and purchasing of agriculture lands more flexible, KCR asked them to make modifications to the Dharani Portal within one week.

He also asked the district collectors to personally take initiatives and solve all issues pertaining to the revenue department. He asked them to invite fresh applications for the pending mutations and said they should be done within a week. "Make the Dharani Portal more user-friendly. For this, make the necessary modifications immediately. Create a facility on Dharani Portal for NRIs to register based on their passport number. Modify Dharani in such way that companies and societies are able to get passbooks for the lands that they purchase. Earlier, the details of those who did not give their Aadhar number were not uploaded in Dharani. Give them one more chance and register their Aadhar number and issue passbooks," the Chief Minister said.

KCR asked all district collectors to solve disputes with regard to land transfer regulation in the agency areas within a month and create a facility on Dharani for those who booked the slot to cancel or reschedule their slots. "The list of prohibited lands should be updated regularly. Make changes as per the court verdicts. Put the land collected by the government from farmers under the prohibited list. Solve all the issues under part B except those involved in legal litigation," he said.

He asked officials to allow the facility to register GPA, SPA, and AGPA through the Dharani Portal and said that cases pending before the revenue court's jurisdiction should be cleared quickly by the district-level tribunals to be formed under the leadership of district collectors.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister asked officials to make arrangements for the COVID-19 vaccination drive. He also directed them to make reviving forests their top priority. He said that promotions should be given in all departments and all vacancies should be filled up. Integrated markets and Vaikunta Dhams should be constructed in all urban areas in proportion to the population, KCR further said.
