Warangal: Maoist leader and member of Dandakaranya special zone Gaddam Madhukar alias Shobrai died of COVID-19 on Sunday while he was being transported to Hyderabad for treatment.

The Maoist leader carried a reward of Rs. 8 lakhs on his head.

Madhukar, a resident of Kumurambheem Asifabad, was arrested on 2 May in Warangal city suburbs while the police were conducting vehicle inspections.
