Nagarkurnool tahsildar, 2 others caught taking bribe

Hyderabad: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) officials arrested a tahsildar and two others for accepting a bribe on Thursday.

The tahsildar of Kollapur mandal in Nagarkurnool district, Syed Shoukath Ali, field technical staff Kante Shiva Shankar, and VRA Mandla Krishna were caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs. 12,000.

The ACB said Ali had demanded a bribe from Bandaru Swamy, a resident of the same district, for handing over seven registered documents pertaining to agricultural land belonging to his sister and her husband. The cash was recovered from Krishna who had received it from Shiva Kumar.

The three were produced before the 10 additional special judge for SPE and ACB cases, the ACB added.
