Nizamabad Nishkal hospital sealed
Nishkal Neuro Multi-Specialty hospital at Nizamabad was sealed after its owner was caught treating patients despite being COVID positive.

Nishkal Neuro Multi-Specialty hospital at Nizamabad was sealed after its owner was caught treating patients. Identified as Dr Nishkal Prabhu, he fled from the hospital when health officials raided the premises.
Officials tested 30 people working in the hospital, of whom 10 were tested positive. "The hospital has been sealed and action would be initiated against Dr. Nishkal Prabhu and all those who had violated the Covid norms," said DMHO Nizamabad Dr. E Sudershanam.
Dr. E Sudershanam said that he and his team waited for over two hours for Dr. Nishkal, but he did not turn up.
As the news spread in the city, people started panicking. Officials asked people, who visited Nishkal Neuro multi-specialty hospital in the past few days, to get tested or stay in isolation. Patients have been asked to report any abnormal condition to the health officials immediately.
Meanwhile, Telangana reported 1,498 new COVID cases on Monday taking the overall tally to 3,14,735 in the state.
The state reported six new deaths on April 5 taking the total death toll to 1,729. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.3 per cent.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area on Monday reported 313 new cases. The neighbouring Rangareddy district reported 128 new cases. Medchal Malkajgiri reported 142 and Sangareddy 29 new cases.
Other districts of Telangana are also seeing a surge in cases. Nizamabad on Monday reported 142 new cases while Nirmal reported 85 cases and Jagtiyal reported 60 cases.
