Khammam: Khammam district health authorities have canceled the permission granted to 10 private hospitals for violating rules pertaining to admission and treatment of COVID19 patients.

The action follows a surprise inspection by the district level task force team comprising officials of the health and other government departments here on Saturday night.

District Medical and Health Officer Dr. B. Malathi said permission given to 10 private hospitals to treat COVID19 patients has been revoked. The violations included not displaying the price list of medical services and medicines, treating more Covid-19 patients than allowed, collecting more fees from the patients not only for the Remdesivir injections but also for tests like rapid antigen test and CT scan.
