Promotions process for teaching, non-teaching staff must be completed by Jan 31: Sabita
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 Jan 2021 4:15 PM ISTHyderabad: Telangana education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy has directed the department to complete the process of promotions of teachers by the end of January 2021.
The Minister on 6th January held a meeting with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and other senior officials of the education department with regard to various issues pertaining to the department.
The officials were directed to prepare an action plan to complete the promotions of various categories of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. While issues related to transfers, mid day meals, TET Examination, opening of Educational Institutions was also discussed.
To recall Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has directed that promotion to all categories of posts in all departments at all levels should be taken up immediately and completed by January 31.
Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, HODs and the Collectors have been asked to initiate immediate action accordingly. Promotions in all respects, duly completing DPCS, if any, shall be completed by 31.01.2021.
"Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries shall submit category wise status in this regard after compiling information from their subordinate offices including District offices and Sub-District office," said a government order.
In respect of the third level gazetted and above, the proposals shall be submitted by the Secretaries concerned after compiling information from their HODs for convening DPC by January 11.
Similarly, all Secretariat promotions shall be also processed by GAD. DPCs shall be completed by January 24 so that promotion orders are issued before January 31.
