Rain or thunderstorms expected across Telangana in next 5 days
Thunderstorms and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) accompanied with lightning are very likely to occur in isolated places across the state.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 12 April 2021 1:03 PM GMTHyderabad: Due to the trough running from south Tamil Nadu to south Konkan across Kerala and interior Karnataka, extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur in isolated places over Telangana in the next five days, said Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD also said that thunderstorms and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) accompanied with lightning are very likely to occur in isolated places across the state.

In Hyderabad, there is a likelihood of cloudy sky with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms to occur towards evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city will be between 36Ā°C and 25Ā°C respectively. On Monday, the maximum temperature was 35.6Ā°C. The IMD recorded a maximum of 38 mm of rainfall in Doultabad in Siddipet district and 24.3 mm of rainfall in Shaikpet in the city.

Due to thunderstorm activities in most parts of the country, there will be no significant change in maximum temperatures in most parts of the country in next four to five days.

"There is a cyclonic circulation over interior Odisha and surrounding areas up to at 1.5 km above mean sea level. The trough in Easterlies from north Kerala to southwest Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood across interior Karnataka and Marathwada at about 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked," reads IMD inference on Monday.
