Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has asked the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) to roll back its bus fare decision.

On the 26th day of his padayatra, Bandi Sanjay Kumar said there is no need to increase bus fares in the state. Sanjay addressed thousands of people at Machareddy junction on Wednesday.

BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed dismay over the state government's decision to increase bus fares and electricity tariffs.

He demanded that the RTC should immediately roll back its decision. He said the state is earning Rs 40 per liter of fuel.

He clarified that there would be no need to increase fares if the state government reduces the VAT on fuel.

He said that the CM should explain to the people the rationale for the increase in bus fares and electricity charges. He said that RTC employees were already in distress.

He said the CM and his family members were conspiring to sell RTC assets. BJP National Vice President, MP Rekha Varma was the chief guest on this occasion.
