Second phase of Rythu Bandhu scheme to begin from 27 December to 7 January

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, on Monday, announced that financial assistance under the Rythu Bandhu scheme will be given from 27 December to 7 January.

The CM has instructed the officials concerned to ensure that each and every farmer in the state gets assistance under the scheme by depositing the amount directly into the accounts of farmers. He also instructed the officials from the Finance Department to release the required Rs 7,300 crore. He said that farmers who have less land holding should be given priority before others and all aid should be disbursed within the ten-day period.

The CM held a review meeting at the Pragathi Bhavan on the Rythu Bandhu's second phase of assistance for the summer season. Agriculture Minister S. Niranjan Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao, Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Janardhan Reddy, and others participated. The review meeting discussed the strategy for distributing aid and finalized the action plan accordingly.
