The Telangana Government's Revenue Department on 9th November 2021 issued the guidelines for payment of ex-gratia to the kin of diseased persons due to Covid-19.

In its latest order, the government said "The government hereby accord permission to the district collectors of the state for providing an ex -gratia for an amount of Rs.50,000 / - [Rupees Fifty thousand only] to the next kin of the diseased persons who died due to COVID - 19 from State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) "

How to apply

As per the guidelines, the application is to be submitted online, The district collector then approves the ex-gratia assistance in respect of eligible cases.




All claims in respect of eligible cases must be settled within 30 days of submission of required documents, the order said. The money will be disbursed through aadhar-linked direct benefit transfer procedures.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Telangana government finally issued an order directing the district collectors to constitute Covid-19 Death Ascertaining Committee (CDAC) to issue death certificates for families to claim ex-gratia.
