The yatra will now start from August 28 as per the earlier plan from Bhagyalaxmi temple at Charminar.
Sanjay said padayatra was put off due to the death of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh.
Recalling the services of former UP Chief Minister, Sanjay said Singh's death was an irreparable loss to the party. This is the second time that the padayatra has been postponed.
Sanjay's padayatra was first scheduled to start on August 9. Later it was rescheduled to August 24 owing to the party whip. It was aimed to expose the "failures" of the state government and highlight people's problems.
Sanjay was supposed to cover several assembly constituencies in the state. The yatra was supposed to start from the Bhagyalakshmi temple at Charminar in the old city of Hyderabad, which is the parliamentary constituency of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.
Sanjay had timed the padayatra with the anniversary of Quit India Movement. However, it was postponed after BJP high command issued a whip to all MPs to attend the Parliament session without fail.
