Hyderabad: The Telangana government has opened 174 positions for assistant public prosecutors to work under the administrative control of the director of prosecutions, Telangana.
The government took the decision after reviewing the direct recruitment vacancy position in the director of prosecution department.
"After careful examination of the proposal furnished by the department and keeping in view the actual requirement of manpower with reference to the nature of work and activities of the department and also the overall financial implications, the government accords permission to fill 174 vacant posts of assistant public prosecutors," said D. Ronald Rose, the special secretary to the government of Telangana.
The government said the Telangana state-level police recruitment board, Hyderabad, will take appropriate steps to fill the vacant posts through direct recruitment by obtaining details like local cadre wise/vacancy position, roster points and qualifications from the concerned authorities.
The government also said that the board will issue the notification and schedule for recruitment. Also, the department will issue necessary amendments to their service rules, by-laws, and government orders changing the existing recruitment procedure wherever necessary.
