Telangana: Here is list of 27 private hospitals barred from treating COVID patients

Hyderabad: Telangana Health department has barred six more private hospitals from treating COVID19 patients.
With this 27 hospitals have been barred from treating COVID patients. Until Sunday, permission for 20 private hospitals was canceled. All of these hospitals were issued show-cause notices to ascertain why patients were charged exorbitant amounts.
Director of Public Health G Srinivasa Rao said they have revoked the permissions of Padmaja Hospital, KPHB, Lifeline Medicare Hospital in Medchal, Max Cure Hospital and Lalitha Hospital in Warangal, TX Hospital in Uppal and Sri Sai Ram Hospital in Sangareddy.
Dr. G Srinivas Rao said the department had received a total of 166 complaints against 105 hospitals. He said they received several complaints with regard to excess and irrelevant charges in addition to the prescribed norms, and against mismanagement, lack of proper attention, etc.
Complaints against private hospitals or laboratories for exorbitant charges can be lodged on Whatsapp number 9154 170 960, or dial '104'.
Earlier on Sunday Khammam district, health authorities have canceled the permission granted to 10 private hospitals for violating rules pertaining to admission and treatment of COVID19 patients.
The action follows a surprise inspection by the district level task force team comprising officials of the health and other government departments here on Saturday night.
