Hyderabad: Telangana police have landed in a soup after they stopped relatives of MLA Seethakka when they were en route to donate blood to save their ailing family member.

Mulugu MLA Danasari Anasuya alias Seethakka's family members were stopped when they were traveling to donate blood to her mother. Police also registered a case against the family.

"My mom is battling for life in hospital and police stopped my family members who were coming to donate blood, @DcpMalkajgiri Ignored to talk to me on a video call. He spoke harshly with them. Imagine the position of a common man." Seethakka tweeted, along with a video clip of her ailing mother at the hospital.

The video was shot by her family members when police stopped them. It is learnt that the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon. Seethakka also shared that police issued a challan against her family members despite having a valid travel pass. "Humanity is more important than fines & challans" she tweeted along with details of challan and travel pass.

Responding to Seethakka's tweet, the Telangana police department passed it to the Rachakonda police. They are yet to respond to the incident.
