Telangana to decide on lockdown extension on 19 June
Telangana government will decide on lockdown in a cabinet meeting which is scheduled to held on 19 June at 2 pm.

In a press communique, the government said that an emergency State Cabinet meeting will be held at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday at 2 PM under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. "In the meeting, the Cabinet is expected to discuss matters such as Lockdown in the State, rainfall, cultivation in the Monsoon season, agriculture-related seasonal issues, lifting of Godavari waters, Hydel power generation and other issues would be discussed," reads the press communique.
Earlier on June 8, the government has extended the lockdown till 19 June. The state cabinet had decided to give 11-hour relaxation in the Covid lockdown every day. The relaxation was from 6 am to 5 PM. There was be a one-hour grace period for people to reach home. It also decided to enforce strict lockdown from 6 PM to 6 AM. In view of rising COVID cases in Satthupalli, Madhira, Nalgonda, Nagarjuna Sagar, Munugode, Devarakonda, Miryalguda Assembly segments, the cabinet decided to extend the lockdown.
