In view of the surge in new COVID cases in the state, the Telangana Government has decided to recruit medical staff across 144 Hospitals in the next 5 days.

Hyderabad: In view of the surge in new COVID cases in the state, the Telangana Government has decided to recruit medical staff across 144 Hospitals on a contract basis in the next 5 days.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced to recruit medicos on a war footing basis. A Statement from the CMO read, 'The government to appoint adequate staff in 114 Hospitals to bring proper and quality medical care to the people.

As per the orders, 144 Doctors, 527 Nurses, 84 Lab Technicians, and all 755 posts were sanctioned by the Chief minister.

The recruitment is likely to cost the state Rs Rs 9.02 Crore. The CM has instructed the District Collectors to organize a special recruitment drive due to the emergency situation, conduct interviews, and finish the appointment process in five days' the CM has ordered.
