TRS Minister Gangula Kamalakar who was campaigning in Huzurabad, tests COVID +Ve
Telangana minister of BC Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Gangula Kamalakar who is the poll in charge of the TRS party for Huzurabad by-election, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The minister has been moved into home isolation on Tuesday evening. He has been suffering from a slight fever for the past few days and got himself tested at a hospital and the results showed positive for Coronavirus. In a tweet, the Minister asked all those who came into contact with him recently to move into isolation and get tested for COVID-19.
On getting initial symptoms of corona virus, I got test done and report is positive.

He has been campaigning regularly in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency ever since the notification was issued for the October 30 byelection.
Meanwhile, Telangana's cumulative COVID-19 cases reached 6,68,266 with 196 new confirmed infection cases recorded until 5.30 pm on Tuesday. After one person died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 3,933 till date translating a case fatality rate of 0.58 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director Public Health and Family Welfare here on Tuesday.
As many as 201 people have recovered from Coronavirus statewide as of Tuesday to take the overall number of recoveries to 6,60,143 constituting a recovery rate of 98.78 per cent while the national recovery rate was 98.01 per cent. The active cases in the state currently stands at 4,190, the bulletin said. In all, 44,310 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus, out of which the results of 1,543 swab samples are awaited. Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic 2,65,89,959 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far, the bulletin said.
Among the districts, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), was the main contributor of the infection by registering a maximum of 59 new coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours followed by Karimnagar (16), Rangareddy and Warangal Urban (15) and Nalgonda (13).
