TS administers 24,470 COVID-19 vaccine shots to international students
Around 11,467 students have received both doses, while 13,003 students got the first dose till August 8.

Around 11,467 students have received both doses, while 13,003 students got the first dose till August 8.
The Telangana government has started a special COVID-19 vaccination drive for students who will be traveling abroad for their studies. The eligible students have to register themselves on the special website that has been started by the government.
The state government had sought permission from the Institute of Preventive Medicine to decrease the time interval between the first and second dose for the students going abroad for their fall semester.
Similarly, the state government has administered around 24,019 doses of vaccine to foreign-bound travelers from the country. Around 16,037 travelers have received both doses of the vaccine while 7,982 have received the first dose of vaccine till August 8.
In an affidavit, the Telangana Director of Public Health said they have vaccinated around 2,921 citizens in old age homes and persons with disabilities. Around 407 inmates in mental health institutions/mental asylums have also been vaccinated.
The Telangana government has vaccinated 40,81,322 people with both doses, while 1,18,21,275 others have been vaccinated with a single dose. The state has vaccinated around 2,27,631 healthcare workers with both doses, while 3,05,096 healthcare workers have received the first dose. Similarly, around 2,06,807 frontline workers have been vaccinated with both doses, while 3,17,585 frontline workers have received the first dose.
The state has vaccinated 28,47,157 citizens above 45 years of age with both doses, while 55,44,290 have received the first dose. In the 18-44 group, around 7,99,727 have received both doses, while 56,54,304 have received the first dose.
The state government has administered 1,37,69,169 doses (private hospitals not included) against 1,32,46,020 doses received.
