United AP rulers neglected Telangana; working to rectify historic wrongs: KCR

Hyderabad: On the Telangana formation day, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took a dig at the rulers of united Andhra Pradesh saying every sector was neglected under their rule.

"Each and every sector was neglected under the united AP rule. We are trying to rectify the wrongs. Telangana society represents 90 percent of SC's, STs, BScs, and minorities. The state government has been working for the welfare of these deprived sections. It is our commitment to fulfill the aspirations of the Telangana people," he said.

KCR said he feels proud to announce that the newly formed Telangana has made rapid strides in development and became a role model for other states. Greeting people on eight state formation Day, he said Telangana has excelled in all sectors within a short span of seven years.

"We are fulfilling the demands made during the statehood movement. Water for the irrigation and drinking, power, medical and health, roads, and all other infrastructure facilities are being provided," the CM said.

KCR said the state government has been successful in reviving and revitalizing the agriculture sector by constructing irrigation projects and stabilizing the farm sector. "The state government has been successful in strengthening the rural economy," he said.

KCR said though the economy has suffered due to the COVID pandemic, the government is confident to tide over the crisis with the support of people. He said he would not rest till the state becomes a `Bangaru Telangana'.
