The state informed the Centre that COVID-19 vaccination has been ramped up in the state and the number of jabs on April 9 had crossed 1.15 lakh.
"In the coming days, this will be enhanced to over two lakh doses per day. As you (Centre) are aware that Telangana is left with only 5.66 lakh doses of vaccine which would last for three more days. Since last week, the state has ramped up vaccination drive administering 1.02 lakh jabs on April 8, 1.15 lakh on April 9, 1.62 lakh jabs on April 10. However, with Shortage, the state-administered 97,442 vaccine jabs on April 11.
Booked a slot at KIMS Hyderabad for my mother's 2nd dose of #COVID #vaccine for this morning. Over 100 people turned up, waited two hours. About 50 people were given a shot, and staff realised suddenly that they were out of vaccines! The other 60 sent back. #tikaustav
