Hyderabad: The Warangal police on Thursday arrested six persons in connection with the murder of three people in LB Nagar in Warangal on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, Mohammad Shafi killed three members of his brother's family for not sharing profits from their livestock business. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Chandpasha (50), a cattle trader; his wife Sabeera (42); and his brother-in-law Khaleel (40). All three died on the spot. Chandpasha's sons - Samad (24) and Fahad (20) - were seriously injured and admitted to MGM Hospital. One of them was later shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

The murder took place around 3 a.m on Wednesday when Shafi along with four or five other persons came to Pasha's house, broke open the door, and attacked the family with hunting sickles and knives. Pasha's daughter was a witness to the horrific killing.

The other accused have been identified as B. Venkanna, Md. Sajud, Md. AKbar, Md. Pasha and Ragula Vijender.

Tarun Joshi, the commissioner of police, said the murders were believed to be the fallout of a property dispute between the two brothers who were cattle traders. There had been a dispute between the two over sharing of profit to the tune of Rs. 1 crore. Shafi was angry with this brother who had refused to share the profit.
