Cold wave likely to prevail in Telangana

The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in Telangana. The minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C at isolated places over Telangana.

Cold wave likely to prevail in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in Telangana. The minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C at isolated places over Telangana.

The IMD has warned that misty or foggy conditions are very likely to occur at isolated places during the morning hours across Telangana.

The IMD, in its weather announcement, said that a low level of Easterlies/South Easterlies prevails over the state which is causing the low temperature.


According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), Sonala Mandal in Adilabad district recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 9.2°C, while BHEL in Sangareddy district recorded the lowest temperature in the GHMC area at 12.1°C. The maximum temperature was 33.3°C recorded at Hajipur in Mancherial District.

The TSDPS also said that minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 13°C to 15 °C for next two days and 14°C to 17°C for the third day over many districts, while the Maximum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29 °C to 31°C.

In the GHMC area minimum temperatures to be in the range of 13°C to 15°C for next two days and 15°C to 17°C for the third day.

The maximum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28°C to 30°C.
