Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested Sub Registrar Officer (SRO) of Yadagirigutta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district for taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

Identified as Gajula Devanand, he had demanded a bribe for registering sale deeds pertaining to sold-out plots.

Gajula Devanand had asked the complainant Dr. Satyam Made to hand over the bribe money to V Prabhakar, a document writer.

ACB caught Prabhakar red-handed accepting a bribe from the complainant.

"The trap amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from the possession of Prabhakar. Fingers of both hands and left side pocket of his pants yielded positive results in the chemical test," said ACB.

Later, ACB arrested SRO along with the document writer and produced them before the court.
