Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao dismissed as 'baseless' the Congress members charge that the government was diverting Panchayat funds.
Referring to the Congress members' allegation in the Legislative Assembly on Friday, KCR said it was not correct to make false accusations on the floor of the House.
He said that the government had made the Telangana sarpanches proud in the country by transforming the villages. He said the villages in the state had received many awards from the Centre for their development.
The Chief Minister said that the neighboring states too had been surprised after seeing the development in Telangana villages.
"During the ten-year Congress rule, the then governments had spent just Rs four on each person, while the TRS government was spending Rs.650," he said.
