Tirumala darshan: Actor Nayanthara walks Mada Streets with her heels on; sparks anger

Tirupati: A day after marriage, actor Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Sivan landed in controversy during their visit to Tirumala temple. The couple, who got married on Thursday, visited Tirupati for darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Friday. Later Nayanthara was found walking along the Mada Streets with her footwear on. She also had a photoshoot in front of the temple premises.

As per Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam norms, walking with footwear on Mada Street is strictly prohibited. They are also boards displayed in different languages asking the public not to wear footwear. The incident came to the fore after video footage of the video went viral. Netizens asked TTD authorities to take immediate action.

TTD Vigilance Guard Officer Bali Reddy said he would take up the issue with the higher officials and take action on the incident. He said that action would also be taken against staff for allowing the newly-wed couple to do a photo shoot.
