Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister and leader of the opposition N Chandrababu Naidu has called the 1 million COVID test done by the YSRCP government as a racket. TDP Chief demanded the center to take cognizance of the criminal motive behind āSMS Testing Racketā by the YCP government.
He took to social media and said, 'Shocked to see Jaganās government stoop to such a level to cover their failures. The āOne Million COVID testsā narrative woven by the AP government is a scam', he said.
Naidu alleged that Jagan led AP government is cheating the people and the center about the COVID-19 test results. Naidu was referring to a video of ward health secretary Susheela from Tadipatri constituency. She shares, "One Poornashankar, a computer operator, called me and asked me to select and send 7 members for a COVID-19 test, so we requested a few people in our area to take the test; after they had refused we asked our fellow colleagues in the Secretariat to get ready by 9 a.m. the next day to take the test. They accepted".

The ward member further added, " On the next day, my colleagues waited until noon as we did not receive a call from Poornashankar. Samples were not taken for the COVID-19 test. However, after a few days B.Teja, a colleague of mine, said that he had received a message on his mobile, from the petition monitor Cell of Ananthapuramu, stating that his COVID-19 test result was negative, this even though he did not give his sample for the COVID-19 test.ā
Another victim of this racket Deva Prasad said, āI got a message from the government hospital which said that I had tested positive for COVID-19. I am surprised that I tested positive without giving my sample for testingā.
Mr. Naidu insinuated that there is a conspiracy behind falsifying the COVID-19 test results by Jaganās government and requested the center to expose the criminal intent.
