'Time-slot tokens for instant Darshan from March 17': TTD EO

Tirumala: TTD Executive Officer AK Singhal informed on Saturday that they would allow devotees who obtained time-slot tokens for Srivari Darshan from March 17. They had taken the decision keeping in view of a huge rush of devotees and also directions of the state government on prevention measures for controlling the spread of coronavirus.
From March 17, the devotees who wait in the 1, and 2 queue complexes of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex would be allowed for darshan directly, without any wait. Officials said the reason is devotees are supposed to wait more time in the compartment where there are chances of more interaction and the time-slot counters are opened shortly for convenience of the devotees.
People who wish to avail of these tokens have to bring any identification card like Aadhar, Voter ID Card, Driving Licence, PAN or Passport. For reducing time for darshan, the EO said, they had cancelled Arjitha Sevas like Vishesha Puja, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam, and Vastantotsavam. The devotees who booked these Sevas would be compensated with VIP Break Darshan when they contact the TTD Additional Executive Officer.
EO also informed that they would perform Sri Rama Kalyanam in Vontimitta in Kadapa on April 7 inside the temple premises. The planned groundbreaking ceremony of Sri Vari Temple in Mumbai city on April 5 is also cancelled.
