25K plant species, 12-acre man-made beach: Explore Hyderabad’s Experium with Newsmeter

Hyderabad: Nestled in Proddutur Village, Experium Eco Park is Hyderabad’s latest attraction, offering a blend of nature, adventure, art, and luxury.

Spread across 150 acres, this eco-tourism destination boasts over 25,000 plant species from 85 countries, a 12-acre man-made beach, India’s largest Hampi-style amphitheater, and an eco-resort with luxury cottages.

From thrilling adventure zones to Michelin-grade dining experiences, Experium aims to provide something for everyone.

After 12 years of meticulous planning and six-and-a-half years of development, the park was officially inaugurated on January 28 by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister for Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao, and actor Chiranjeevi.

A Botanical Treasure Trove with Rare Plants

One of Experium’s biggest highlights is its rare and exotic plant collection. Some trees here are worth between ₹1 lakh and ₹3.5 crores, with the total value of vegetation estimated at ₹150 crores. Visitors can explore lush landscapes featuring plants from Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa, Spain, and Italy.

A Cultural Haven: India’s Largest Hampi-Style Theatre

For culture enthusiasts, the park features India’s largest Hampi-style amphitheater, which can accommodate 1,500 people. This venue will serve as a platform for traditional performances, cultural events, and heritage celebrations.

Artificial Beach, Luxury Stays & More

Experium offers a 12-acre artificial beach, allowing visitors to enjoy a coastal experience right in the heart of Telangana. Those looking for an extended getaway can book a stay at the eco-resort, which features 40 rooms and 20 luxury cottages, including exclusive honeymoon suites.

Adventure Attractions: India’s First Four-Direction Zipline

Adventure seekers can enjoy India’s first four-direction zipline, covering a thrilling 1-km stretch. The park also promises other adventure activities for those looking to add an adrenaline rush to their visit.

Hyderabad’s Newest Nightlife Spot: India’s Biggest Pub

Experium is set to redefine Hyderabad’s nightlife with India’s largest pub, which spans five acres and is expected to become a prime destination for partygoers.

Dining Experiences Like Never Before

Visitors can indulge in gourmet dining at Michelin-grade chef restaurants within the park. Highlights include India’s first aquarium restaurant, where guests can dine in an underwater setting, and the world’s first tree café, offering fresh brews in a scenic, nature-immersed environment.

Drive-in LED Theatre & 600 Selfie Spots

Movie lovers can enjoy films at India’s first drive-in LED theatre, which allows them to watch movies under the stars. The park also boasts 600 selfie spots and 20 stainless steel sculptures that enhance its visual appeal.

Honest Review: Is Experium Worth the Hype?

While Experium Eco Park has generated a lot of buzz, many of its attractions are still incomplete. Visitors expecting a fully immersive experience may find the park underwhelming for now.

• The buggy ride, priced at ₹500 per person, is not worth it. Instead of a guided tour around the vast property, it offers a short ride past a few flowers before dropping visitors back at the entrance.

• Several key attractions, including the adventure zones, drive-in theatre, and pub, are not yet fully operational.

• Other than the beautiful plants, flowers, and a few sculptures, there isn’t much else to see yet.

Overall, Experium Eco Park has potential, but at this stage, it does not justify the hype or the ticket price. It might be worth visiting once the entire project is fully functional, but for now, it falls short of expectations.
