Hyderabad: The Supreme Court Collegium which held its meeting on 28 September has proposed the elevation of three judges as Chief Justices of High Courts.
Justice Jaswant Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court, presently a judge at Orissa High Court, is elevated as Chief Justice of Orissa High Court.
Justice P.B. Varale, presently a judge at Bombay High Court, is elevated as Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.
Justice Ali Mohammad Magray, presently a judge at Jammu and Kashmir High Court, is elevated as Chief Justice of J&K High Court.
After the nod from the President of India, they will take charge as Chief Justices of the allotted High Courts.
