3 more Omicron cases in TS; 1 locally transmitted

Hyderabad: Three more cases of Omicron have been reported in Telangana on Sunday. With this, the total tally of Omicron cases in the state has become 44.
Out of the three, two are from non-risk countries and one is a case of local transmission.
A total of 248 passengers were screened at RGIA today, out of which 2 have tested Covid-19 positive. Those two samples have been sent for genome sequencing. As of today, results of 16 samples are awaited.
On Saturday, three new cases of Omicron were reported in the state.
Out of the 44 who have tested positive for Omicron so far, 28 are from non-risk countries, four from at-risk countries, two is a contact of an Omicron-positive person and ten omicron cases has recovered from the virus.
Since December 1, a total of 11,493 passengers have been screened for Omicron at RGIA.
