4-yr-old female giraffe Bubli of Hyderabad's Nehru Zoo Park dies
By Newsmeter Network Published on 27 May 2021 11:45 AM GMTHyderabad: A four-year-old female giraffe called Bubli died on Wednesday after a brief illness, the Nehru Zoological Park at Hyderabad said. Bubli became a member of the zoo in 2019, as part of an animal exchange programme with Alipore Zoo in Kolkata.
As per preliminary post-mortem, Bubli might have died from pneumonia for which she was being treated since last week. The samples have been collected and sent to VBRI for further examination.
The zoo veterinary team who supervised the incident comprised veterinary experts from CCMB LaCONES, College of Veterinary Science, with one of the names being Dr M. Navin Kumar, Dy Director (Rtd), zoo consultant. The post-mortem was conducted by a veterinary expert team headed by Dr Vijay Bhaskar Reddy and team.
