6 of family including a to be bride killed in road mishap in Mahabubabad

Hyderabad: Six members of a family were killed in an accident in Mahabubabad district on 29 January while they were on their way to purchase clothes for a wedding. The bride Prameela was also killed in the accident that occurred on the outskirts of Marrimitta village under Gudur mandal when an over-speeding lorry rammed into their auto-rickshaw.

Among those killed were Prameela's father Jatoth Kasna, her mother Jatoth Kalyani, brother Jatoth Pradeep, and their relatives Jatoth Prasad, his daughter Jatoth Divya and the auto-driver Jatoth Ramu.

The family is from Errakunta thanda under Gudur mandal. Prameela's marriage had been fixed a few days ago. The family had hired an auto-rickshaw to go shopping to Narsampet town. Midway, the lorry coming from the opposite direction rammed into their auto-rickshaw killing all the persons on board on the spot.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his shock over the accident and expressed condolences to the family members.

A release from the Chief Minister's Office read, "Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed shock over the death of six persons in a road accident at Marrimitta in Guduru mandal in Mahabubabad district. The CM conveyed condolences to members of the bereaved families. The CM inquired from the officers on how did the accident take place? He instructed the officials to immediately provide the required medical treatment for those injured."
