Vijayawada: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday raided multiple locations linked to an Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) and uncovered a vast array of properties and valuables disproportionate to his known source of income.

Case registered, raids conducted

Acting on credible information, ACB officials of the Vijayawada Range registered a case against Pillutla Lokanadha Prasad, currently serving as AMVI in Machilipatnam, under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018).

As part of the investigation, coordinated searches were carried out at three locations on March 24, including the residences of the accused and his brother in Vijayawada, as well as his office in Machilipatnam.

Multiple properties and valuables seized

During the searches, officials seized incriminating documents and uncovered substantial assets, including:

Three residential houses in Vijayawada

One house site at Gunadala

Approximately 2.75 acres of agricultural land in Munagala village, Suryapet district (Telangana)

Gold ornaments weighing 450.2 grams

Silver articles weighing 1,496 grams

Cash amounting to ₹2.54 lakh

Two cars and three motorcycles

Fixed deposits worth ₹18.80 lakh

Bank balance of ₹40,000

Electronic gadgets and valuable household items


Further investigation underway

ACB officials stated that further searches are ongoing. A locker key has been identified and the contents of the locker will be examined as per legal procedures.

The accused is expected to be arrested following due process and will be produced before the Special Court for ACB cases in Vijayawada.

Service Background of the Accused

Pillutla Lokanadha Prasad began his career as a Transport Constable in 1995 in the Andhra Pradesh Transport Department, serving in Vijayawada.

He was later promoted and appointed as an Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector in 2015 and has since served in various locations across the state. Currently, he is posted at the RTO office in Machilipatnam.
