Police Investigation Underway

The Taskforce police visited Allu Arjunā€™s residence earlier in the day and asked him to appear before the police station for questioning.

Case Details

The Chikkadpally Police registered an FIR under sections 105, 118(1), and 3(5) of the BNS Act against Sandhya Theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his personal security team. The complaint, filed by Magudampalli Bhaskar, alleged negligence in crowd management, resulting in his wifeā€™s death and his sonā€™s hospitalization.

Bhaskar had earlier stated in his complaint, ā€œThe theatre management failed to make proper arrangements, and the actorā€™s security team caused chaos while trying to control the crowd, leading to suffocation and panic.ā€

Incident Recap

On the night of December 4, a large crowd gathered at Sandhya 70 MM Theatre for the premiere of Pushpa 2. As fans tried to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, overcrowding in the lower balcony caused suffocation and a stampede-like situation. Bhaskarā€™s wife, Revathi, was declared dead at Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital, while their son Sai Tej is recovering at KIMS Hospital, Begumpet.

Legal Implications

The police are investigating whether sufficient safety measures were in place and if negligence by the accused parties contributed to the tragedy. If proven, those found guilty could face severe legal consequences.
