Hyderabad: From fans getting into a fight to a monkey gracing a film screening, the first day of Adipurush movie starring Prabhas, and Kriti Sanon witnessed multiple incidents on Friday.

After a long wait, Adipurush hit the screens on Friday, and a sea of fans rushed to the theatres to witness this mythological drama. People were at the theatres from 4 am to watch the benefit shows played in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh theatres.

In Telangana, incidents were reported about fans getting involved in untoward incidents, such as vandalising theatre property. Here are some of the other incidents witnessed on the movieā€™s opening day.

Fans fight at Prasads IMAX

At the Prasad multiplex in Hyderabad, fans of Prabhas got into a fight with a person while he was giving a ā€˜negativeā€™ review about the film. After a 4 am benefit show, the audience coming out of the theatres were asked to give their review through YouTube channels and media persons standing outside the theatre.

In a video that went viral, a person who called Adipurush a bad film was threatened by a few to stop talking about the film and was asked to leave the place right away. In a heated argument, fans of Prabhas also physically attacked the person.

Fans damage theatre property

In another incident, Prabhas fans broke the glasses of the Asian Jyoti theatre in the Ramachandrapuram area of Sangareddy district due to a delay in the screening of the movie. Police booked cases against five persons, and sent them to judicial remand.

The theatre management sold the tickets online to the public and announced that the show would start on June 16, at 6.30 am. However, the management could not start the show on time as they did not have a proper license to do so.

In this regard, the accused created a nuisance at the theatre and damaged theatre window glasses, and broke cool drink bottles. They also quarrelled with theatre workers.

The RC Puram police registered a case and arrested the accused. They also took disciplinary action against the management of Asian Jyothi Theatre for not having a government license to screen the film at its scheduled time.

Fan injures himself

In another incident, a Prabhas fan, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, injured himself with broken glass pieces near a theatre (name not known). He broke a beer bottle and cut his hand multiple times.

A video of the person dancing and shouting outside the theatre went viral. The person was seen holding a broken liquor bottle behind the poster of Adipursh before hurting himself, while people around him tried to stop him.

A seat for Hanuman, as promised

During a pre-release event in Tirupati, movie Director Om Raut announced that one seat would be reserved for Lord Hanuman at every cinema hall, claiming that Lord Hanuman would come to watch the movie.

As told, many theatres were seen leaving a seat for Hanuman, while fans brought photos of Lord Hanuman to decorate the reserved seat.

Monkey spotted in a theatre

A video went viral on social media where a monkey made its appearance during the filmā€™s screening in a theatre. The video shows a monkey peeping inside the theatre from what appeared to be a window, while the movie was being screened.

Upon spotting the monkey, the audience started screaming in excitement and chanting ā€œJai Shri Ramā€. In a tweet, Rajesh Nair, one of the producers of Adipurush, tweeted, ā€œHanumanji watching the movie.ā€
