From young to old and from students to housewives, everyone responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call and hoisted the National Flag atop their houses. Students in schools, colleges, and other educational institutions sang patriotic numbers to celebrate Independence day. This year, as a part of `Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', every person unfurled the tricolor at their apartments, shops, and food carts.
Roads were filled up with people dressed in white attire, holding national flags and clicking photos. Several areas had a photo booth with posters of PM Narendra Modi, designer of National Flag Pingali Venkayya, and other freedom fighters.
Visakhapatnam beach road, national highway, and other tourist places in the state were decked up with national. People took out rallies and carried the longest national flag to celebrate Independence day.
