AIMIM announces 6 candidates, Ex Mayor Majid Hussain to contest from Nampally

AIMIM announces 6 candidates, Ex Mayor Majid Hussain to contest from Nampally

Hyderabad: Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, announced the names of 6 candidates who will contest in the Telangana state elections from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party.

The kite party will contest in 9 assembly segments including Rajender Nagar and Jubilee Hills.

The six names include 1. Chandrayangutta - Akbaruddin Owaisi, 2. Nampally - Majid Hussain (Ex mayor) 3. Malakpet - Ahmed Balala 4. Yakutpura -Jafar Hussain Meraj 5. Charminar - Ex Mayor Mir Zulfeqar Ali 6. Karwan- Kauser Mohiuddin. While the candidates for Bahadurpura, Jubilee Hills and Rajender Nagar will be announced in second list.

What has come as a surprise is Majid Hussain who served as Hyderabad City Mayor in 2012 and presently GHMC corporator from Mehdipatnam, will contest from Nampally.

While, Yakutpura MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Charminar MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan were dropped while the party retained others. The Nampally MLA has been asked to contest from Yakutpura. While former Mayor of Hyderabad Mir Zulfeqar Ali will be contested from Charminar.

MIM has seven MLAs in Hyderabad City. They are: Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala (Malakpet) Jaffar Hussain (Nampally), Kausar Mohiuddin (Karwan), Mumtaz Ahmed Khan (Charminar), Akbaruddin Owaisi (Chandrayangutta), Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri (Yakutpura) and Mohd. Moazzam Khan (Bahadurpura).

AIMIM is peoples party and its MP, MLAs, MLCs, Corporators and other leaders are the most accessible to all sections of people, including Hindus in person and on phone and address public grievances.

Asaduddin Owaisi conducts Janata Darbar daily at AIMIM headquarters Darussalam in Nampally of Hyderabad where people from all the assembly constituencies of AIMIM can meet their available MP, MLAs and MLCs to redress their civic and other grievances.
