T. Vinod, Sub Inspector at Moghalpura police station in his complaint said that M.A. Qavi Abbasi delivered a provocative speech to disturb the peace and create communal hatred between the two communities.
"Friends of the Muslim community, as you are all aware that Ramzan month is on. I appeal to all Muslim brothers to please purchase from only Muslim shopkeepers. Don't purchase anything from other shopkeepers. When they boycott us, we should also boycott them. Even If you have to purchase anything for Re 1, please go to Muslim shopkeepers, not other shopkeepers. I request every Muslim brother to shop from only Muslim traders. It will act as a safety cover," M.A. Qavi Abbasi said.
He also called for a ban on the use of loudspeakers for Bhajans. He urged people to lodge complaints with the Police Stations. "When the bell rings in the early hours, it disturbs sleep. As a tit for tat reaction, you should complain to Police Stations and Pollution Control Board also. They started it and we will finish it," said M.A. Qavi Abbasi.
