`All living things to be charged: TSRTC conductor issues ticket to Rooster, lands in trouble

Hyderabad: Believe it or not, a TSRTC conductor issued a ticket to a Rooster for boarding the Godavarikhani depot bus on Tuesday

The passenger, Mohammad Ali, boarded the bus at Ramagundam along with his rooster. He had hidden the rooster in a Saree. He was on his way to Karimnagar. Initially, the bus conductor did not notice the rooster. However, at the Sulatanabad bus stand, the bus conductor Thirupathi observed movement. Upon further questioning, the conductor found that there was a rooster in the wraps.

The conductor then issued a bus ticket of Rs 30 to the Rooster while explaining to Mohammad Ali that all living things will be issued a ticket in the TSRTC bus.

However, Godavarikhani Depot Manager V Venkateshwaram, said that no animals are allowed to board the TSRTC buses. "It is against the law. The conductor should have ensured that the rooster hadn't boarded the bus in the first place," he said.

The Depot Manager further stated that when the conductor did notice, the passenger should have been asked to get down the bus immediately. "Instead a ticket was issued, which is not the right thing to do. For his mistakes, disciplinary action will be taken against him," Venkateshwaram said.
