Amaravati land scam: Andhra Pradesh CID issues notices to ex-minister Narayana
Notices issued to former minister P. Narayana, and his family members in the Amaravati land scam.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) issued notices to former minister P. Narayana in the Amaravati land scam. In connection with the ongoing investigation on designing the master plan of the capital city and the alignment of the Inner Ring Road, the investigation officer from the EOQ-2, CID, issued notices under various sections of the CrPC.
CID will question Mr. Narayana on 6 March.
P. Narayana is the former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) minister and founder of the Narayana group of educational institutions. The case was filed based on a complaint filed by Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, alleging that land deals had taken place in the name of change in Amaravatiās inner ring road alignment design.
Also, notices under section 41A CrPC were issued to four accused in the case, including Ponguru Narayana, P. Ramadevi (wife of Narayana), Potturi Prameela, employer of NSPIRA Management Services Private Limited, a company operated by the members of the family of P. Narayana, and K.P.V. Anajani Kumar, MD of Ramakrishna Housing Private Limited.
Further, notices under section 160 CrPC were issued to those being examined as witnesses. Those include Mr. Narayanaās daughters P. Sindhura and P. Sharini, his son-in-law Puneeth Kothapa, and another person Varun Kumar Kothapa.
According to the CID, Andhra Pradesh High Court had granted anticipatory bail to former minister Narayana and Anjani Kumar, the MD of Ramakrishna Housing Private Limited.
A few days ago, AP CID conducted searches at the residence of Mr. Narayanaās daughter. In January, searches were conducted at his daughterās firms in Hyderabad.
