Amaravati: Amidst Vedic chants, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan assumed charge at his camp office in Vijayawada.

Pawan Kalyan also holds the portfolio of Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development & Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forest, Science and Technology




Pawan Kalyan signed the first paper with the pen gifted by Chiranjeevi’s spouse Surekha Konidela.


After taking charge, Pawan Kalyan will hold a meeting with the IAS and IPS officers, Group -1 and Group-2 officers.

TDP, Janasena Party, and BJP, which fought polls together in Andhra Pradesh registered a landslide victory, winning 164 out of the total 175 seats. TDP won 135 seats, Janasena Party 21, and BJP bagged 8.

Pawan Kalyan won the Pithapuram seat with a huge margin. He defeated his nearest YSRCP candidate Vanga Geetha by a margin of 70,279 votes

In the 2024 polls, the actor-turned-politician played a key role in stitching the TDP, BJP, and Janasena alliance.

After his win, he has been called the Darling of Masses and Kingmaker in Andhra Pradesh. In a recent NDA meeting at the national capital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Kalyan as "Aandhi (storm)".
